Stretch Mark & Scar Renewal
Stretch marks and scars can be a lasting reminder of pregnancy, weight changes, surgery, injury or simply the changes our bodies go through over time.
Sometimes they’re barely noticed. Sometimes they’re the one thing you find yourself looking at in the mirror, covering up or feeling self-conscious about.
SMR – Stretch Mark & Scar Renewal – is a specialist stretch mark treatment designed to improve the appearance and texture of suitable scars and stretch marks.
By working with your skin’s natural healing and renewal processes, SMR can help the treated area become smoother, softer and less noticeable over time.
It’s not about perfect skin.
It’s about helping you feel more comfortable and confident in yours.

What can SMR help with?
Stretch Marks
Pregnancy • Weight changes • Puberty • Significant body changes
SMR may help improve the appearance and texture of both newer and older stretch marks, including white or silvery stretch marks.
Scars
Surgical • C-section • Injury • Trauma • Suitable healed scars
SMR may help soften the appearance and improve the texture of suitable healed scars, helping them blend more naturally with the surrounding skin. C-section scars are one of the types of healed surgical scars that may be suitable for SMR.

“Realistic Expectations”
Let’s talk honestly about results 🤍
SMR is a gradual skin-renewal process, not an instant fix.
The aim isn’t to completely erase a scar or stretch mark. Instead, we work with your skin’s natural healing process.
You may notice the skin becoming smoother, softer and less noticeable as the skin remodels. Everyone responds differently, and results take time.
I’ll always give you an honest assessment before you begin, so you can make an informed decision about whether SMR is right for you.
Could SMR help with stretch marks and scars?
You don’t have to decide whether it’s right for you from a website.
Book a free, no-obligation consultation and we can talk through your scar or stretch marks, look at the area together and discuss what may realistically be achievable. I’m based in Bagshot, Surrey just off the M3.
No pressure. Just honest advice.
Want to understand how SMR works?
Stretch mark treatment & Scar renewal.
It is a specialist skin-renewal technique that uses controlled stimulation to encourage the body’s natural repair response within scarred or stretched skin.
This process can stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and encourage the skin to gradually remodel itself.
Over a course of treatments, this may help to improve the texture, smoothness, firmness and overall appearance of suitable scars and stretch marks.
Rather than simply disguising the area, SMR works with your own skin’s natural renewal processes.
Results are gradual because your skin needs time to heal, produce new collagen and remodel between treatments.
Stretch marks need to be at least 3 months old before any treatment can take place
Scars need to be at least a year old before any treatment can take place
SMR works by stimulating the skin’s natural repair and renewal process.
The treatment uses a specialist device to create controlled micro-injuries within the scar tissue or stretch mark. This controlled stimulation encourages the body to respond as it would to an injury — by sending healing signals to the area and stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin.
Over time, this process can encourage the scarred or stretched skin to remodel, helping to improve its texture, elasticity, firmness and overall appearance.
Unlike treatments that simply disguise a scar or stretch mark, SMR is designed to work with your own skin’s natural regenerative processes.
When skin is damaged, the body naturally begins a repair process. Fibroblast cells play an important role in this process by producing collagen and other components that help support the structure of the skin.
With SMR, the controlled stimulation encourages this natural healing response in the treated area.
As new collagen is produced and the existing tissue gradually remodels, the skin can become more organised and resilient. This can help soften uneven texture, improve the appearance of indentations and make the area less noticeable.
This isn’t an overnight process. Collagen production and skin remodelling take time, which is why improvements develop gradually over the weeks and months following treatment.
Scars and stretch marks are changes within the structure of the skin, and they cannot realistically be transformed in a single appointment.
Each SMR treatment provides a controlled stimulus to the skin. Your body then needs time to complete its healing and remodelling process before another treatment is carried out.
Allowing sufficient time between sessions is important because we want to work with your skin, not overwhelm it.
The number of treatments needed will depend on the individual, including the age, depth, size and type of scar or stretch mark, as well as how your skin responds to treatment.
Your treatment plan will therefore be tailored to you rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.
Collagen is one of the main structural proteins in our skin. It helps provide strength, firmness and support.
As we age, our natural production of collagen gradually decreases. Previous stretching, injury or surgery can also leave areas where the normal structure of the skin has been altered.
SMR aims to stimulate your body’s own collagen-producing response within the treated area.
The result we’re looking for isn’t simply to make the skin appear different immediately after treatment. It’s to encourage gradual biological changes within the skin, allowing improvement to develop naturally over time.
Results develop gradually.
Your skin begins its healing process following treatment, but collagen production and tissue remodelling take time.
You may notice changes in the texture and appearance of the area as the skin progresses through this process, with further improvement developing over the following weeks and months.
This is why patience is an important part of your SMR journey.
